About Wildlife Madagascar...
Wildlife Madagascar is a US-based nonprofit with a clear mission: to collaborate with Malagasy communities to conserve Madagascar’s extraordinary biodiversity. Grounded in a holistic conservation and development strategy, we protect primary forests and wildlife through community-led initiatives such as park management, forest patrolling, research, and education. By building strong partnerships with local farmers, community groups, government agencies, and international NGOs, we work to reduce poverty while preserving habitat for irreplaceable species like lemurs, chameleons, and baobabs.
Our Vision and Impact
We envision thriving communities that are active advocates and stewards of their forests and wildlife. To turn this vision into reality, we focus on a broad range of programs including sustainable ecotourism, eco-agriculture solutions like sakondry farming, conservation education, forest protection, and capacity-building for local leadership. Through this integrated approach that combines environmental responsibility with livelihood enhancement, we aim to foster long-term resilience for both people and wildlife across Madagascar’s unique ecosystems.
