What began in 1952 as a simple trading post founded by Con and Nellie Miller quickly became something magical when a young boy mistook Con for Santa and asked if he was building a new house. Inspired by that moment, the Millers named the store "Santa Claus House," and it soon became a beloved community hub — even serving as the town's first post office under Postmistress Nellie Miller.

Over the decades, Santa Claus House has grown from a general store into a world-famous Christmas destination, complete with a 42-foot-tall Santa statue and a treasure trove of holiday gifts and memorabilia. Through generations of family leadership and heartfelt community service, the Millers have turned Santa Claus House into a year-round celebration of joy, tradition, and the enduring spirit of Christmas.
