This morning is still. Buffleheads are chasing around, mergansers cruising. The day will be beautiful—heartbreakingly beautiful and I want to be out in it. And so, I shall be! A gust from the street just ruffled the bay a darker shade. I’ll look for trilliums and mushrooms, and I’ll take my paints and hiking shoes, good paper and an easel. Baby eagle overhead cruising inland over the roof.
I went out onto Old Mission Peninsula to paint.
