Aurora Regional Fire Museum - Steampunk

About The Aurora Regional Fire Museum...

Affectionately known as Central Station, it was home to the Aurora Fire Department from 1894 until 1980. Designed by local architect John Edward Minott, the building is known for its characteristic onion dome and the letters A.F.D. above the front doorways. The museum preserves the legacy of the fire service through their regional collections and exhibits while teaching fire safety and prevention.

Artwork was created by Chris Hodge in 2018 and features a steampunk rendition of our building and a fire engine. Can you spot all of the ‘hidden gems’ that Hodge included throughout the piece?
