Jagannatha, (Sanskrit: “Lord of the World”) is considered a form of the Hindu god Krishna or Vishnu, and is worshipped at Puri, Odisha (Orissa) famously known as the Puri Jagannatha Temple. This 12th-century temple in Puri towers above the town. In its sanctuary, are present the deities of Jagannatha, His brother Balabhadra (Balarama), and His sister Subhadra.
